These days when mountains are not rising in front of me
I find oceans parting violently to let me pass
and I know as sure I know my name
that I have to make space for the strange and the puzzling
Drink this cup bottom ups or perish

This week I just realized the beauty of resignation because I have come to the conclusion that life is a tragedy pure and simple and happiness are just bumps and accidents in the road to enjoy while they come. I remember a time where I was good at expecting the worst and believe me when I say that I never got disappointed.
It is sad to lose expectations and anticipations especially that child-i’m-expecting-mom-or-dad-to-come-back home but you don’t teach an old dog new tricks or whatever the saying goes.
Strange how I even feel good about not having expectations, I guess I can now focus and lay it all on the table with nothing to lose but everything to gain with every day being the first and the last…
who taught you to not see
that small defiant light of yours
shining defiantly
against the darkness surrounding it?
who taught you to stop believing
in the small wonders that you do
the way you dance to abandon
and sing like stars are listening
because they are
who taught you to not see
the beauty that you are
the love that you are
the god that you are
Now feel and grip this ecstasy
that comes in waves
to wash away expired skins
yes you don’t need that anymore
That one too
especially this one too
now go on out there
and teach them that believing is seeing

An Invocation for Beginnings
Let me not think of my work only as a stepping stone to something else, and if it is let me become fascinated by the shape of the stone. -ZeFrank

“You might as well be dead. Seriously, if you always put limits on what you can do, physically or anything else, it’ll spread over into the rest of your life. It’ll spread into your work, into your morality, into your entire being. There are no limits. There are plateaus, but you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. If it kills you, it kills you. A man must constantly exceed his level.”
- Bruce Lee
